CT Scan Technologist
Overview
- Performs CT procedures and related imaging techniques to produce sectional and 3D images for interpretation and support interventional and therapeutic procedures.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
- Hours: 40 per week
- Holidays required
- No on-call
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
- CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program
- GE Equipment experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of CT experience preferred
- Six months of CT experience preferred
- ARRT CT certification preferred
- Knowledge of Epic and HIS/RIS systems
- Maintains CEU credits
Work Expectations
- Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
- Reviews patient history, contrast questionnaires, and prescriptions for exam appropriateness
- Administers contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
- Obtains outside studies and coordinates them for comparison by radiologists
- Provides patient instructions and addresses questions or concerns
- Monitors patients for adverse reactions during procedures
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs, push/pull 50 lbs, and stand 6 hours per day
