Outpatient Clinic RN

- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Setting
- Outpatient clinic
- Does not work inpatient
Patient Population
- Adolescents and adults
- High-risk pregnancies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Clinic experience with 2 years of experience
- Clinic experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- OB/GYN experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ability to perform:
- Height and weight
- Vital signs
- Pulse oximetry
- Patient health questionnaires, history, and allergies
- Interpretation of laboratory results
- CPR/cardiac arrest response
- Telephone triage
- Pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
- Biohazard waste disposal
- Follow-up phone calls
- Medication refills
- Patient teaching
- Must bring own stethoscope
Preferred
- L&D experience
- Ability to draw blood
- Medication reconciliation
- External fetal monitoring
- Insulin administration
- Specimen collection for urine and vaginal samples
- Urinalysis/urine dipstick
- Authorization forms
- Chart preparation
- Ordering supplies
- Work-related injury reporting
Unit Details
- Average daily census: 14
- About 28 visits per day
- Special procedures/conditions: IVF, GDM, twins
- Scheduling based on clinic needs
- No call
- No float
- No weekend requirement
- 32 hours of clinic orientation

- RTO after booking is not allowed
- Scrubs are black and not provided
