RN - L&D

Overview

• Travel RN position in Dickson, Tennessee
• 8-week assignment
• 36 hours per week
• Women’s Services unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS
• NRP
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience with shoulder dystocia
• Experience with postpartum hemorrhage
• Fetal monitoring education
• Experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)

Unit Experience

• Labor and delivery experience, including laboring and recovering the mother and receiving and transitioning the newborn
• Experience with fetal monitoring and inductions
• Experience with C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries
• Experience with shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage is preferred

Schedule and Work Setting

• Full-time schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Staff may be expected to float within the facility if not needed on the unit
• Some staff are cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU

Unit Environment

• LDRP, OBED, NICU, and OR suite areas
• No techs or unit secretaries
• Daily rounding and safety rounding are part of patient experience expectations

Additional Details

• Pink and/or brown scrubs are required for the infant security policy
• The unit uses Meditech and CPN for documentation
• Experienced RN team available as resources and preceptors
