Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location: Highlands, North Carolina

Unit and Work Environment

• Unit: Acute Care
• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 6-7 patients per nurse
• Staffing: No unit secretaries, techs, or extra RNs when no tech available
• Equipment: Standard Medical/Surgical
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling: Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Floating Policy: Rare
• Patient Population: Geriatric and past inpatient rehab (Swing Bed Patients)
• Patient Experience: Affluent community with concierge-level service expected
• Unit Culture: Excellent teamwork and positive culture

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience working with geriatric patients
• Experience in a rehabilitation setting
• Proficiency in wound care
