Job Overview

• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the specialty
• BLS
• ARRT R
• Must be able to cover x-ray within scope
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Must be separated from any prior permanent staff role at this facility’s health system for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler

Schedule and Work Expectations

• On-call required, with overnight call every 2 to 3 nights
• Floating within scope is required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Guaranteed hours: 70 per 2 weeks, with up to 1 ten-hour shift canceled per 2 weeks

Housing and Transportation

• Housing is provided during the assignment, typically a 1-bedroom apartment
• Rental car/vehicle is provided during the assignment
• Pets are not allowed
• Additional family members require approval
• Housing and vehicle access begin no earlier than 72 hours before the contract starts and end no later than 24 hours after the contract ends
• Traveler must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance before using the vehicle
• Vehicle use is limited to around-town travel within 30 miles of the facility
• Tire chains are available at additional cost
• Housing must be cleaned at departure or additional cleaning fees may apply
• Vehicle must be cleaned and returned with a full tank of gas

Clinical Setting

• Performs x-ray exams and CT scans for outpatients, ER patients, and inpatients
• Basic CT scans include angiography
