CT Scan Technologist
Role Summary
Performs CT imaging procedures, including patient preparation, contrast administration, image review, and support for interventional and therapeutic procedures.
Schedule
- Weekend nights
- 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Holidays, weekends, and on-call coverage as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
- CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from a radiologic technologist program
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of CT experience
- 6 months of CT experience
- CT certification
- Experience with post-processing
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex CT procedures
- Review patient history and prepare documentation for imaging workflows
- Administer contrast media as prescribed
- Verify exam appropriateness and clarify prescriptions when needed
- Obtain outside studies and coordinate comparison imaging
- Provide patient instructions and monitor for adverse reactions
- Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and IV maintenance procedures
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25 lbs
- Push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Stand for at least 6 hours per day
