Job Type

Travel
36 hours per week
8 weeks

Unit Overview

Women’s Services unit with labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
LDRP, OBED, and NICU beds on the unit
No techs or unit secretaries
Regular staff may be expected to float within the facility as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
AWHONN
NRP
Experience with shoulder dystocia
Experience with postpartum hemorrhage
Experience with obstetric emergencies
Experience with fetal monitoring
Experience with inductions including Pitocin and cervidil
Experience with vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
Post Partum experience

Key Experience / Skills

Labor and delivery experience, including laboring and recovering the mother and receiving and transitioning the newborn
Experience with fetal monitoring and inductions
Experience with shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage is preferred

Procedures / Clinical Exposure

C-sections
Circumcisions
Intra-uterine monitoring
Vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries

Schedule

Full-time, 3 shifts per week
Rotating weekends and holidays

Additional Notes

Pink and/or brown scrubs are required per unit policy
The team includes experienced RNs who can serve as resources and preceptors
