RN - Telemetry
Job Overview
- Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips
- Cardiac Stepdown experience
Unit Details
- 30-bed cardiac unit
- Typical patient ratio is 5–6:1
- Floating may include general medical-surgical, ortho, PCU, and medical-surgical surgical with oncology
- Uses telemetry monitoring and Meditech documentation
- Common medications/drips include heparin, Cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, and amiodarone
Scheduling
- Every other weekend equivalent: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Procedures / Responsibilities
- Chest tube management
- Wound vac management
- EKGs as needed
- Telemetry application and rhythm strip documentation each shift
- Bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5P checks
Additional Notes
- Cardiac knowledge is preferred
- No artificial nails, gel nails, or gel nail polish
- Scrubs: navy for RN staff
