Physical Therapist Travel Job

Location

Waycross, Georgia

Job Type

Travel
Full-time, 40 hours per week

Contract Length

12 weeks

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
No weekends
No on-call days

Setting

Inpatient rehab therapy

Required Qualifications

Valid Physical Therapist license in Georgia
Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
Physical Therapist experience within the last year
BLS

Preferred Experience

Inpatient rehab experience
Acute care rehab experience

Responsibilities

Perform evaluations
Supervise PTAs per APTA standards
Provide gait training, therapeutic exercise, ADLs, CARE assessments, and FIM assessments

Unit Details

10 beds
6 staff members
Typical staffing includes OT, COTA, PTA, and PT
Patient ratio is 1 therapist to 4 patients
Standard therapy gym equipment is used
Documentation is on paper; Meditech is used for billing only

Work Environment

Fast-paced
Flexible and outgoing personality preferred
Ability to build rapport with patients quickly
