Physical Therapist
Overview
- Contract assignment in Waimea, Hawaii
- 13 weeks
- 32 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a 12:00–1:00 PM lunch
- Must be able to work Saturdays
Role Summary
- Primary duties are PT evaluations and treatments
- Full schedule includes a mix of inpatient and outpatient patients, typically every 30–45 minutes, with one-hour new evaluations
- Typical volume is 5–15 patients per day
Work Setting
- Inpatient settings include acute, ICU, SNF, Med/Surg, and ER
- Outpatient work is hospital-based and extensive
- May occasionally work in OB
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Hawaii
- Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS
Experience / Practice Expectations
- Must be able to work independently
- Must provide thorough care approaches for outpatient diagnoses
- Must be able to manage acute-to-SNF inpatient mobility progression
- Must have knowledge of discharge planning
