X-Ray Tech

Overview

• Travel assignment in Clyde, North Carolina
• 13-week contract
• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Upcoming start dates: 10/12 and 10/26
• 154-bed hospital
• The role is based in the stress lab
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more away to be considered travel

Required Qualifications

• Radiology Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT
• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program

Preferred Qualifications

• Belonging to national, state, and/or local societies
• Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices

Clinical Setting

• Orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, behavioral health, and 11 multi-specialty physician clinics
• Chest Pain Center
• Joint Commission Accredited

Skills and Work Expectations

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate
• Prepares preliminary paperwork for final interpretation by the cardiologist
• Performs exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests
• Recognizes chest pain and arrhythmias during stress testing and responds or obtains appropriate assistance as needed
• Monitors, receives, and stocks stress lab supplies
• Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment as needed
• Troubleshoots minor problems and makes adjustments during procedures
• Prepares recordings for interpretation
• Collects and reviews pertinent medical, historical, and medication information for the prescribed study
• Assists with computerized charting, MUSE, and Paragon
• Assists with activities to improve department processes, facilitate testing, and maintain quality to achieve optimal patient results
