X-Ray Tech

Overview

• Travel assignment in Clyde, North Carolina
• 13-week contract
• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Upcoming start dates: 10/12 and 10/26
• 154-bed hospital
• 60+ miles from the facility required to be considered travel

Unit / Setting

• Stress Lab Tech
• Hospital services include orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women’s care, ED, behavioral health, and 11 multi-specialty physician clinics
• Chest Pain Center
• Joint Commission Accredited

Required Qualifications

• Radiology Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT

Preferred Qualifications

• Belonging to national, state, and/or local societies
• Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
• Prepare preliminary paperwork for final interpretation by the cardiologist
• Perform exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests
• Recognize chest pain and arrhythmias during stress testing and obtain appropriate assistance as needed
• Monitor, receive, and stock stress lab supplies
• Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot minor problems and make adjustments during procedures
• Prepare recordings for interpretation
• Collect and/or review pertinent medical, historical, and medication information for the prescribed study
• Assist with computerized charting, MUSE, and Paragon
• Help improve department processes, facilitate testing, and maintain quality to achieve optimal patient results
