3West Cardiac RN - Med Surg
Overview
- Travel assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Will accept 48-hour guarantee
Unit Details
- 3West Cardiac
- 30 beds
- Patient ratio: 6:1
- Floating may include general M/S, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), and M/S surgical with oncology
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardiac knowledge
Clinical Skills / Experience
- Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips
- Chest Tube management
- Wound vac management
- EKGs
Scheduling
- Every other weekend equivalent: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Additional Notes
- Meditech-HCA version documentation system
- Telemetry rhythm strip documentation and charting each shift
- Bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5P’s
- Unit uses Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, GE Telemetry, Rover’s, WOW for all nurses, and PyxisES dispensing system
