RN - Emergency Dept
Overview
- Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
- Location: Sanford, North Carolina
- Shift: 7P–7A
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend and some holidays
- Call: none
- Float: as needed
- Orientation is weekly on Mondays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- PALS
- CPI
- De-escalation training (HWC, CPI or MAB)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Emergency Medicine experience
- Psych ER experience
Unit Details
- 21-bed Emergency Department
- 12 telemetry beds
- 3 behavior health beds
- 5 fast track rooms
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Patient population: all ages
Clinical Focus
- Trauma
- Resuscitation
- IV and IV drips
- Oxygen demand support
- Blood products
- Basic telemetry/EKG
- Common diagnoses/treatments include COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Cardiac Emergencies, Neurological Emergencies, and stroke
