Physical Therapist

Overview

• Contract role in Arroyo Grande, California
• Outpatient rehabilitation clinic setting
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• No travel expected

Schedule

• 4x9s and 1x4 schedule preferred

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
• BLS
• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
• Experience in supervisory roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Continuing education courses

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength
• Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-up
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides
• Communicate with physicians and other staff to support quality patient care
• Complete patient documentation, including evaluations, reports, discharge summaries, charting, and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Use EMR and computer skills to complete job duties
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable federal and state regulations
• Participate in privacy training and communicate privacy policy information as required
• Be familiar with PT billing policies and ICD-10 coding
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, walking safety, and lifting up to 50 pounds
