Tele RN
Overview
- Travel RN role in Corpus Christi, Texas.
- 36 hours per week.
- 13-week contract.
Unit Details
- 3 East unit in Doctors Regional Building.
- 22 beds.
- Maximum patient ratio: 6:1.
- Standard equipment.
- EMR: Meditech.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Telemetry experience within the last year.
- 1 year of telemetry experience.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- Experience in an Acute Care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience working with Neuro patients, including CVA’s, TIA’s, and AMS.
- RN with neuro/neuro-surgery or ortho background.
- Med/Surg/Telemetry background.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Care for med/surg patients.
- IV insertions.
- Urinary catheter insertion and maintenance.
- Central line maintenance.
- Medication administration.
- Communication with the care team.
- Documentation in EHR.
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation.
- NGT insertion and maintenance.
Floating
- Med/surg units.
Work Environment
- Day shift staffing: 1 charge RN, 4 RNs, 2 PCAs, 1 unit secretary, 0-2 sitters.
- Night shift staffing: 4 RNs, 1-2 PCAs, 0-2 sitters.
- Scrubs required.
- Friendly, positive, patient-centered, team-focused environment.
