Imaging/CT Tech
Overview
- Location: Washington, Iowa
- Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging
- Employment type: Contract
- Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5:30p-6:00am
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 8 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Iowa
- CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R.T.) or ARRT (C.T.)
- BLS
- Iowa Radiologic Technologist Permit to Practice
- Completion of a JRCERT-approved radiological training program or equivalent
- Radiology Technologist experience
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality x-ray and CT images as directed by the physician or radiologist
- Provide radiation protection measures
- Generate and complete exam orders using EMRs
- Perform, record, and analyze QC data
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, including equipment checks, cleaning the work area, and monitoring temperatures
- Transport patients
- Use PACS systems to release/transmit images
- Perform portable x-ray procedures as requested by Emergency Department and Nursing units
- Recommend process improvements and support department supply needs
- Work with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences
