Overview

Travel RN role in Andalusia, Alabama
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
STABLE
AWHONN
Experience working with Neonate patients
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
Experience circulating for C-sections
Ability to interpret fetal heart rate strips
Experience with IUPC and FSE placement
Experience with amniocentesis
Experience with amnioinfusions
Experience with OB/GYN triage care
Experience with newborn assessment
Women's Services experience

Role Details

Provides plan-of-care interventions, medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
Coordinates care across disciplines, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
Provides patient and family education
Circulates during C-sections, assists with deliveries, follows recovery and care policies for surgical patients, and attends the neonatal station in the C-section suite
Completes neonatal assessment after delivery
Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years
Attends STABLE certification class if offered and is NRP certified
