Overview

• Travel RN role in Andalusia, Alabama
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP
• STABLE
• AWHONN
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience circulating for C-sections
• Ability to interpret fetal heart rate strips
• Experience with IUPC and FSE placement
• Experience with amniocentesis
• Experience with amnioinfusions
• Experience with OB/GYN triage care
• Experience with newborn assessment
• Women's Services experience

Role Details

• Provides plan-of-care interventions, medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Coordinates care across disciplines, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Provides patient and family education
• Circulates during C-sections, assists with deliveries, follows recovery and care policies for surgical patients, and attends the neonatal station in the C-section suite
• Completes neonatal assessment after delivery
• Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years
• Attends STABLE certification class if offered and is NRP certified
