ICU RN
Overview
- Travel RN role in ICU
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
- Schedule: straight nights or 50/50
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Details
- ICU has 24 beds
- Staffing includes 46 staff members
- Patient ratio is 1:2; 1:3 for PCU boarders; 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases such as IABP, CRRT, and open hearts
- Unit has 1 CCT/US during day shift if there are more than 10 patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Utah
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- Experience with rapid sequence intubations
- Experience with central line placements
- Experience with ventilators
- Experience with vasopressors
- Experience with arterial lines
- Experience with bronchoscopy
- Experience with chest tube placement
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
Clinical Experience
- Rapid Sequence Intubations
- Central line placements
- Ventilator management
- Vasopressor management
- Restraint use

Floating
- May float to PCU
- May float as a sitter anywhere in the hospital inpatient setting
Additional Details
- Documentation system: EPIC
- Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
- 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
