RN - Med Surg Telemetry
Overview
- Travel RN role in Wilson, North Carolina
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 6 openings
- Shifts: 7A or 7P
- Weekend requirement: every other or every third weekend
- No call required
- Float required
- Med/Surg Overflow
- 22-bed unit
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1.5 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Meditech experience
- Associate degree
- BSN preferred
- EKG interpretation and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage discharges and admissions
- Basic cardiac drip knowledge
Additional Information
- Orientation is bi-weekly
- Upcoming start dates: 10/12, 10/26, 11/9
- Local candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered travel
- Equipment includes Welch Allyn V/S machine, Hoyer Lift with weight scale, Abbott Glucometer, Computers on Wheels, TR band, and Baxter IV pumps
- Common diagnoses/treatments include CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetics, CKD, and post cardiac cath care
- Artificial nails are not allowed
