**Join Our Team as a CT Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Are you ready to take your career in medical imaging to the next level? - We’re looking for a passionate and skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our dynamic team! **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform complex CT procedures that help in accurate diagnosis and treatment. - Utilize your professional judgment to gather and document essential patient clinical history. - Prepare and review the contrast questionnaire with patients and their families, ensuring accuracy in EPIC. - Administer contrast media as prescribed, maintaining the highest standards of patient care. - Conduct thorough reviews of patient prescriptions, collaborating with Radiologists to ensure correct imaging protocols. - Verify insurance authorization and manage necessary communications with Finance. - Schedule and manage outside studies, ensuring all data is accessible for optimal patient care. - Provide exam copies to patients and referring physicians, ensuring transparency and understanding. - Evaluate radiographs using PACS for quality assurance. - Collect pertinent patient information to guarantee safe and effective scanning protocols. - Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring proper shielding and comfort. - Communicate clearly with patients, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the scanning process. - Perform venipuncture and monitor patients for any adverse reactions during the procedure. - Maintain adherence to department policies, including attendance and punctuality. - Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods. - Deliver care tailored to the needs of diverse patient populations. - Comply with organizational competencies and standards of behavior at all times. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning. - Proficiency in CT software and hardware mechanics. - Familiarity with the PACS system and EPIC. - ARRT (CT) certification is to be achieved within your first year on the job. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association within three months of hiring. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Six months of CT experience is a plus. - Knowledge of HIS/RIS systems. **Education:** - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. - High School diploma or equivalent. **Certifications & Licenses:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required. - American Heart Association BLS Certification. - ARRT certified R.T.
