Respiratory Therapist
Overview
- Night shift, 3x12 hours: 18:45–7:15
- Travel/Contract assignment
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend coverage
- 205-bed hospital with a trauma center, 20-bed ICU, and limited pediatric floor
- Services include Medical, Surgical, Rehab, Progressive Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and limited pediatrics
- 4–6 RTs on staff each shift
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Scrub color: Olive Green
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Idaho
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Experience with intubation
- Experience with extubation
- Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Experience with mechanical ventilation weaning
- Epic documentation familiarity required
- Adult/Peds experience
- Endotracheal tube/suctioning
- Oral airway placement
- Oropharyngeal suctioning
- Sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy/suctioning
- Aerosol setup mask
- Medihaler
- Metered dose inhaler
- Hand held and ultrasonic nebulizer
- Bi-pap/CPAP management
- Basic EKG
