**Join Our Exciting Team as a CT Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Perform complex CT procedures and produce stunning sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. - Use your professional judgment to review and obtain patients' clinical histories, ensuring documentation is accurate and uploaded into the PACS system. - Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and/or family members, scanning the data into EPIC. - Identify and/or administer contrast media for CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners. - Verify patient prescription appropriateness and communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians to gather additional clinical information if necessary. - Call physicians to clarify prescriptions according to established CT protocols. - Ensure insurance exam scripts are verified and submit any necessary modifications to Finance for re-verification. - Obtain outside studies (CD) and schedule them in EPIC, making them accessible for Radiologists to compare. - Provide exam copies to patients and their requesting physicians and/or family members. - Evaluate radiographs using the PACS System for proper identification and diagnostic value. - Gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers to prepare scanning protocols that prioritize patient safety. - Assess patient preparedness for procedures, ensuring all necessary protocols are followed. - Prepare patients for scanning through shielding and immobilization techniques. - Determine the appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered. - Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients at their level of understanding, addressing any concerns. - Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures per established guidelines. - Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during procedures. - Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push or pull at least 50 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours daily. - Identify and cater to the needs of diverse patient populations (age, culture, language, etc.) by communicating effectively with patients and caregivers. - Adhere to standards of behavior regarding attendance, punctuality, and employee ID policies. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning. - Familiarity with CT software and hardware mechanics. - Proficient knowledge of the PACS system. - Commitment to maintaining CEU credits. - ARRT (CT) certification required within twelve months post-hire. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire date. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Six months of CT experience preferred. - Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS systems utilized by the facility. **Education Requirements:** - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. - High School diploma or equivalent. **Certifications & Licensure:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
