Labor & Delivery RN

Overview

Travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee
Unit: Labor & Delivery
12 beds
Patient ratio: 1:2
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
AWHONN or CEFM
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience circulating for C-sections
Experience with vaginal delivery
Experience with cesarean section
Experience with newborn assessment

Schedule

3 weekend shifts
1 call shift for RNs
3 12-hour shifts

Unit Details

Staffing includes RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
Travelers float first
Shared decision making is part of the patient experience expectations

Clinical Experience

Care of the laboring patient
Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
Circulate and recover c/s patients
Procedures on the unit include vaginal deliveries, c/sections, d&c, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor

Preferred / Additional Notes

Scrubs are not provided by the hospital; required colors are Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray
