Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist
Overview
- Travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee
- Full-time schedule: 36 hours per week
- Rotating on-call weekends
- Department: Pediatric Rehabilitation Services
- Inpatient pediatric rehab services for children from birth through adolescence
- Specifically for a NICU trained speech therapist
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist license in Tennessee
- ASHA Certification
- BLS
- Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist experience
- 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
- Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Pediatric feeding/swallowing experience
Preferred / Helpful Experience
- Experience with feeding and swallowing therapy
- Experience with speech-language development
- Experience with video-fluoroscopic swallow studies
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy for pediatric patients
- Support children with complex medical needs, including dysphagia, tracheostomy, and traumatic brain injury
- Conduct feeding/swallowing assessments and video-fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS)
- Collaborate with PTs, OTs, physicians, and nurses
- Assist with discharge planning
- Educate families and caregivers on therapy plans and progress
