- Burn Unit / (678)
- 8 beds
- 4th floor, Main building
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Burn ICU experience within the last year
- Burn ICU (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Unit Details
- Patient ratio: 1:2 to 1:3
- Day shift staffing: 1 charge, 3 RN, 1 Wound tech
- Night shift staffing: 1 charge, 3 RN
- Equipment includes GE monitors and Plum IV Pumps
- EMR: Meditech
Clinical Focus
- ICU assessment
- Ventilator care
- Fluid resuscitation
- Wound care
- Pain management
- Care of critical burn patients during acute phase and recovery phases
- Patient population includes burn patients, immediate post-op care, and general medical/surgical ICU patients
