Assignment Details

Travel assignment
36 hours per week
13 weeks
Unit: 2 West
24 beds
Patient ratio: 1:5/6
Floating area: PCU/ Med Surg
Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

BSN
Certification

Unit Overview

Staffed with day shift charge, 5 RN, 3 PCT, and 1 secretary; night shift charge, 5 RN, and 3 PCT

Common Procedures / Skills

Foley insertion
PIV
Blood draws
Code stroke initiation

Additional Notes

EMR: MEDITECH
Dress code: royal blue scrubs
Unit-specific competencies required
