CT Tech
Overview
- Travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit
- CT Tech 72620
- 1st floor
- Adult 64-bed hospital with a 12-bed Adult ICU and a 14-bed ED
- Weekend daytime imaging coverage includes 1 CT tech
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Kansas
- CT Technologist (6 months of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT Certification
- BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- Siemens scanner experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in CT
- Ability to back up XRAY if the XRAY tech is in the OR
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
Clinical Details
- Majority of patients are adult ED patients; some pediatric scans are possible
- Adult inpatients as ordered
- Siemens Somatom Plus 128 slice CT
- EMR: Meditech
- PACS: FUJI Synapse
- Typical studies include CT Head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, CTA chest, neck, abdomen, occasional CTA Cardiac studies, some CT Lumbar/Thoracic spine, and CT Head Stroke protocol
Work Environment
- Works well in a department that may be busy or slow depending on ED patient load
- Works well with other departments
- Dependable and prompt
- Black scrubs required, not provided
- Small facility with a family-friendly atmosphere and easy orientation support
