Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Meditech experience
Unit Details
- 20 beds
- 40 staff
- Estimated patient ratio: 1:4, with charge nurse free of patients
- Equipment includes vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes
- EMR: Meditech / CPN
Clinical Focus
- Manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, and suction
- Procedures include placing chest tubes and bedside bronchitis
