Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Position
Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN (highest required years of experience)
- Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation)
Position Overview
- Provide nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Patient Care Unit
- Competent to provide care as the primary nurse in a rural Critical Access Hospital
Additional Information
- Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing
- Housing is extremely expensive, especially in winter; surrounding towns to consider include Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs
- Typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt is around $3,500/month
- Not accepting any Return to Office (RTO) requests
- No mention of prior travel experience required
This opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable working in rural, high-elevation settings.
