Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / OB Unit Unit Details: Number of Beds: 9 L&D, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, 3-bed OBED Patient Ratios: 1:2 Staffing Description: Unit Secretary and Scrub Tech; dedicated CRNA & midwife in-house 24/7; OBGYN on call Equipment: Standard L&D & OB equipment (IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, Nitrous Oxide, JADA system for postpartum hemorrhage management) Documentation System: CPN and Meditech Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts/month Floating Policy: May float to Mother/Baby or other departments as needed Patient Experience: Must maintain >75% satisfaction Hospital Specifics & Certifications: Required Certifications: RN, ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Requested Skill Set: Must have: Dedication to high-quality labor care, support patient choice, promote vaginal birth opportunities Advanced skills helpful: Spinning Babies, STABLE Procedures Performed: Circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, nitrous oxide use Model of Care: Laborist team model with 24/7 midwives, dedicated CRNA, and OB on call Additional Highlights: Personalized birth experiences tailored to patient preference Couplet care in postpartum unit to promote bonding and breastfeeding (including donor milk availability) 8-bed Level 2 NICU with NNP available 24/7 for high-risk deliveries Job Requirements: Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced OB/L&D environment Team player who supports patient-centered care and collaborates with multidisciplinary staff/wk
