Tripod Partners are looking for an experienced Travel RN to join a busy surgical services department featuring 8 operating rooms, including 6 major ORs and 2 procedure rooms. The department utilizes block scheduling and provides a diverse surgical caseload across multiple specialties in a collaborative team environment.

The schedule is Monday through Friday with a typical start time of 7:15 AM. Shifts are generally 8 hours; however, the end of the day varies based on surgical volume and is determined by the completion of scheduled procedures. Guaranteed hours are 40 per week.

The OR performs a wide variety of procedures including orthopedic cases such as total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, ACL reconstructions, and shoulder arthroscopies. General surgery includes laparoscopic cholecystectomies, laparoscopic appendectomies, colon resections, EGDs, and colonoscopies. Additional specialties include ENT procedures such as ear tubes, tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies, and simple sinus surgeries; urology cases including stents, stone procedures, cryotherapy, and nephrectomies; OB/GYN procedures including LAVHs, TAHs, hysteroscopies, D&Cs, and Cesarean sections (C-section experience is preferred); as well as robotic general surgery and gynecology procedures.

Call responsibilities include 1–2 night shifts per week and approximately every 5th weekend, with weekend call beginning Friday and ending Monday at 7:00 AM. Holiday call coverage is required as scheduled. Staff should also expect 1–2 late days per week depending on departmental needs. A 20-minute response time is required while on call.
