The Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered perioperative care while adapting quickly to new clinical environments. This role provides comprehensive nursing care throughout the surgical experience by assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, monitoring patient responses to interventions, and evaluating outcomes in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team. The OR RN promotes patient safety by adhering to evidence-based practice, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Responsibilities also include educating patients and families, accurately documenting care, supervising and delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and serving as a mentor and collaborative team member. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional surgical care while maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
