Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
Location: Rochester, NY
Schedule: 36 hours/week | Primarily Monday–Friday, Day Shift
On-Call: Required for evenings, nights, and weekends

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical services team in Rochester, NY. This role supports a fast-paced OR environment, providing high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in the operating room

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures

Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards

Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to changes in condition

Participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled

Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Current RN license in New York State (or eligibility to obtain)

Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience preferred

BLS required; ACLS preferred

Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
