Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager for Operating Room (OR) / Surgical Services is based in Manhasset, New York. This leadership role involves managing a high-acuity cardiac surgery and transplant team, specifically with experience in lung and heart transplants. The position requires overseeing patient care, team development, and operational responsibilities during regular daytime hours. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Manhasset, NY
• Schedule: 09:00:00 AM - 05:00:00 PM Monday through Friday, with the possibility of four 10-hour shifts during the week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing; current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 6-8 years of nursing experience; at least 5 years of Operating Room experience (scrub and circulate); 3 years of cardiac surgery and lung and heart transplant experience; 2-5 years of solid leadership/management experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing; CNOR certification.
• Additional Information: The manager will be responsible for the nursing practice, patient care delivery, human and fiscal resources, and regulatory compliance within a patient care unit. They will lead and develop team members, act as a resource for the team, and oversee operational activities during assigned shifts.
