Description

Job Title: Nurse Supervisor
Location: BROOKLYN, NY 11206
Hours Per Week: 40.00 (5*8)
Shift Time: DAY SHIFT 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Schedule Notes: Required: At least 2 years of BH experience, Assistant DON experience required
Contract: 14 weeks

Job Summary: The Nurse Supervisor provides clinical leadership and operational oversight to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal staff performance. This role focuses on program development, performance monitoring, and continuous quality improvement within a behavioral health care environment.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement programs to improve patient care quality and staff performance.
• Monitor clinical operations and collaborate with nurse managers to address performance issues.
• Support corrective action planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling interventions.
• Promote compliance with clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience – Required
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role – Required
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health (BH) experience – Required
• Assistant Director of Nursing (Assistant DON) experience – Required

Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing – Required

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

License
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
• Primary Source Verification through NYSED – Required
