📢 Travel PACU RN Opportunity – Hilo, Hawaii

We are hiring an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo, HI.

Position Details:
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Variable 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts; days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Units: PACU and ASU
• On-Call: 0–3 shifts per month, including 8-hour night call and 24-hour weekend/holiday call
• Guaranteed Hours: No guarantee of hours or shift preference
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:
• Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
• Candidates without an active Hawaii license must apply immediately upon offer acceptance
• Minimum 3 years of recent PACU experience preferred
• Recent hospital-based ICU or ER experience may be accepted in place of PACU experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS required
• AHA PALS required
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required before start
• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health clearance on Friday

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe, high-quality care for pre-operative patients and patients in Phase I and Phase II recovery.
• Monitor airway, hemodynamic status, incision sites, pain levels, body temperature, and post-anesthesia complications.
• Deliver critical care interventions and collaborate closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Operate equipment including Meditech, PCA pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair Paws warmers, and HP/Phillips monitors.
• Float between PACU and ASU as needed.
• Participate in holiday and on-call coverage.
