🕐 Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
📆 Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts/week

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The RN must be comfortable taking charge nurse and preceptor responsibilities when needed.

Responsibilities
Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay
Provide direct and indirect emergency nursing care
Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products as needed
Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes promptly
Provide patient and family education
Accurately document nursing care, observations, interventions, and patient responses
Work collaboratively with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team
Provide care for emergency and critical-care patients
Serve in charge nurse and preceptor roles when needed
Follow patient safety and clinical protocols
Requirements

✅ Active Maine RN License
✅ BLS
✅ ACLS
✅ PALS
✅ Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience
✅ Previous critical care nursing experience required
✅ Minimum 3 years overall experience preferred
✅ Must be willing to work as Charge Nurse and Preceptor when needed
✅ EPIC experience preferred
✅ Clean license/background required — candidates with license hits/actions will not be accepted
✅ Must reside outside a 50-mile radius
✅ Must not be a previous employee of the facility

📌 Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
📌 Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract
📌 Holiday coverage required
📌 Local travelers receive a lower local rate
