# Travel X-Ray & CT Technologist – South Dakota
**13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 40 Guaranteed Hours | Quick Start**

### Position Details
* **Location:** Hot Springs, South Dakota
* **Contract:** 13 weeks
* **Shift:** Days
* **Schedule:** 4 × 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
* **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours/week
* **Call:** Required
* **Weekend Coverage:** Required
* **Holiday Coverage:** Required
* **EMR:** EPIC

### Responsibilities
* Perform diagnostic **X-ray and CT examinations** according to physician orders and established protocols
* Produce routine and emergent diagnostic images using fixed and portable X-ray equipment
* Perform routine and emergent **CT examinations**
* Properly position patients and adjust imaging equipment for optimal image acquisition
* Apply **ALARA** principles and maintain radiation safety standards
* Process and review images in **PACS** for radiologist interpretation
* Complete examinations according to radiologist protocols
* Assist with CT contrast administration and provide appropriate patient guidance
* Maintain accurate documentation, charges, and electronic medical records
* Participate in quality control, equipment safety, radiation safety, and patient safety procedures
* Schedule patients for imaging services as needed
* Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients and staff
* Ensure examinations are completed accurately and in a timely manner

### Requirements
* **Current, active South Dakota license/certification required**
* **R.T.(R)(ARRT) certification required**
* **ARRT(R) certification required**
* **ARRT(CT) certification preferred/required for CT responsibilities**
* Current **BLS/BCLS certification**
* At least **3 year of CT Technologist experience **
* Strong experience performing both **X-ray and CT**
* Knowledge of radiographic procedures, radiation physics, and human anatomy
* Experience with **EPIC EMR** preferred
* Must be comfortable with **weekend and call rotation**
* Local travelers will **not** be considered
* Must meet the facility's traveler eligibility requirements
