# Travel Maternity RN – New York
**13-Week Contract | Night Shift | 36 Guaranteed Hours | October 5 Start**

### Position Details
* **Location:** Lowville, New York
* **Contract:** 13 weeks
* **Shift:** Nights
* **Schedule:** 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
* **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours/week
* **Weekend Coverage:** Every other weekend
* **Holiday Coverage:** Required
* **Call:** No call
* **EMR:** Not listed

### Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to maternity and obstetric patients
* Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
* Assess patients and promptly recognize changes in condition
* Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders
* Assist with labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
* Monitor vital signs, fetal heart rate, and other clinical indicators
* Support patients and families through the childbirth process
* Collaborate with physicians, midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
* Maintain accurate patient assessments and nursing documentation
* Provide patient education regarding postpartum and newborn care
* Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital protocols
* Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent maternity situations

### Requirements
* **Active New York RN License required**
* Minimum **3 years of maternity/L&D nursing experience**
* Current **BLS/BCLS certification**
* Current **ACLS certification**
* Strong maternity and obstetric nursing skills
* Experience providing care in a hospital setting preferred
* Must be comfortable working **12-hour night shifts**
* Must be available for **every-other-weekend coverage**
* Must be willing to provide **holiday coverage**
* No call requirement
