📍 Location: Missoula, Montana
📅 Contract: 8 Weeks
☀️ Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | On-Call & Weekend Rotation
⏱️ Hours: 40 Hours/Week
💻 EMR: Homecare Homebase (HCHB)
We're seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week travel assignment providing skilled nursing and case management to patients in their homes. This role focuses on compassionate hospice care, symptom management, care coordination, and supporting patients and families through an interdisciplinary approach.
✅ Requirements
Active Montana RN License
Minimum 3 years of Hospice RN experience
Recent hospice, home care, or acute-care nursing experience
Valid Driver's License
Current auto insurance
Reliable transportation
Experience with skilled nursing and patient assessment
Strong clinical skills including venipuncture, catheterization, wound care, and/or parenteral therapy
Homecare Homebase (HCHB) experience strongly preferred
BSN preferred
💜 Clinical Experience
Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes
Assess physical and psychosocial conditions and develop appropriate interventions
Provide symptom management and promote patient comfort and quality of life
Coordinate care and services through an interdisciplinary team
Educate patients and families regarding care, treatment, and symptom management
Oversee care provided by Home Health Aides and CNAs
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with OASIS requirements
Participate in case conferences and coordinate services with healthcare and community resources
Respond to patient needs during on-call coverage, including telephone assessment and home visits when required
📌 Assignment Highlights
40 hours per week
Monday–Friday daytime schedule
On-call and weekend rotation
Mileage reimbursement available
Opportunity to transition from Visiting RN to Case Manager based on assignment needs
Holiday coverage required
