Description
- Position: Special Education Teacher (High School Students)
- Employment Dates: ASAP through June 3, 2027
- Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (37.5 hours per week)
- Student Caseload: Elementary students with a high level of autism
- Compensation: $44–$47 per hour, W-2 (based on experience)
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Certification Requirement: NC Special Education Certificate with Adapted Curriculum License (required)
- Experience Preferred:
- Previous special education experience (resource or self-contained classrooms, 1:1, externalizing behaviors)
- Experience with IEPs (individualized education plans)
- Lesson planning
- Collaborative work with faculty and parents
- Strong desire to connect with students
