Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT evaluations and re-evaluations for special education students
- Assess fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-help, adaptive, and functional skills affecting educational performance
- Review educational and medical records, classroom performance, and developmental histories
- Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports with recommendations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team evaluations for special education eligibility
- Attend ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) and special education meetings
- Develop and monitor occupational therapy goals and objectives for IEPs
- Provide direct and indirect OT services in various educational settings (individual, small group, classroom)
- Develop and implement interventions for fine/visual motor skills, handwriting, sensory needs, self-care (ADLs), classroom participation, functional mobility, and adaptive equipment
- Maintain accurate service documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers
- Offer classroom accommodations and recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and sensory supports
- Train school personnel and families on OT strategies and student needs
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, TEA, and district requirements

Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Texas OT License in good standing
- NBCOT certification preferred
- Experience in school-based OT or working with children/adolescents preferred
- Familiarity with special education evaluations, ARD meetings, IEP processes preferred

Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of OT principles, assessments, and interventions for educational settings
- Understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and school service delivery models
- Strong written, verbal, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases, therapy schedules, and compliance timelines
- Commitment to educational equity and student-centered practices

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to provide therapy in classroom, therapy rooms, and other school environments
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist students as needed
- Ability to use adaptive equipment and therapy materials
- Willingness to travel between assigned campuses as required
