Job Summary (List Format) for Hybrid LSSP - Licensed School Psychologist

Position Overview:
- Full-time, hybrid role (split between on-site at school and remote work)
- School-year assignment with retention opportunities

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Full and Individual Evaluations (FIEs) and re-evaluations for students referred to special education
- Assess students’ cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, adaptive, and social functioning
- Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and eligibility recommendations within set timelines
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings
- Assist with interpreting assessment results and developing educational recommendations
- Support eligibility determination, placement decisions, and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, TEA regulations, and district policies
- Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and help develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed
- Use data-driven decision-making to support student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, families, and administrators to support student needs
- Provide consultation, recommendations, and staff training regarding accommodations, interventions, and student support services

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid Texas Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) credential
- School-based psychology experience preferred
- Experience with psychoeducational evaluations, special education processes, MTSS, RTI, and behavior intervention planning preferred

Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and evaluation procedures
- Understanding of child development, learning theory, behavioral supports, and mental health practices
- Familiarity with special education compliance requirements (IDEA, Section 504, MTSS)
- Excellent data analysis, report writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain compliance with timelines
- Commitment to educational equity and student-centered practices

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel between campuses as needed
- Ability to conduct observations and assessments in various educational settings
- Ability to sit for extended periods and respond to crisis situations as needed
