Assignment Experience (What You Can Expect)

Typical caseload discussed before submission

Exposure to a variety of grade levels (PreK–12 opportunities)

1–2 building placement when possible

Collaborative teams including Teachers, Intervention Specialists, Counselors, and Administration
Your Impact as a School-Based OT
You’ll help students build the functional, sensory, and fine motor skills they need to succeed in the classroom and daily school activities.
Core Responsibilities
-
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
-
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
-
Provide direct OT services (individual and group)
-
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
-
Support students’ participation in academic, social, and daily living activities
-
Contribute to MTSS / RTI initiatives as appropriate
What We’re Looking For
-
Master’s or higher in Occupational Therapy
-
Valid Occupational Therapist license (State Specific)
-
School-based experience preferred, but newer professionals encouraged to apply — mentorship available
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills
-
Passion for supporting student growth and functional skill development
