Description

Work Environment

Work is performed on all patient care units mostly at bedside. Ability to push equipment. Limited access to O2 outlets.

HIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient Information

All – Access to patient information, including restricted information – Level 4

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy

Preferred:

One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License
Registered by the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist
CPR and ACLS Certification within 3 months of hire

3 - 10 hour shifts. To ensure that Respiratory Therapy services rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed in a timely, accurate and reliable manner. Those served include inpatients, outpatients, UHS staff and employees as well as affiliated UHS community groups as needed.
