Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.
• Employees are required to have reasonable access to transportation to meet work requirements made in the ordinary course of business in a timely and efficient manner.

Education and Experience

Minimum Required

• Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Three (3) years of Nursing experience
• At least three (3) years of directly related experience

Preferred

• Masters in Nursing
• Previous experience in a supervisory role

License and/or Certification

Minimum Required

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License

This position is responsible for the coordination of the daily operations of a designated nursing department under the guidance of the Service Line Manager, providing both clinical and administrative leadership and expertise. It contributes to the department/unit’s strategic planning efforts and supports the achievement of both departmental and organizational objectives.
