Description
Work Environment
- Work may be performed in an office and/or hospital environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients.
- The office is air conditioned as well as heated.
- Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
- Fast-paced environment including frequent interruptions.
- Frequent walking, standing and bending.
- Mobility may include access through a multi-level facility, including climbing stairs.
- PPE- Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, Gloves per UHS Infection Control and CDC guidelines when appropriate.
- Work may also be performed in the community setting, to include, but not limited to, patient homes, health fairs, and conference/meeting settings
- Transportation within the community to various settings with personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursed

HIPAA Roles-Based Access to Patient Information
- All – Access to patient information, including restricted information – Level 4
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing and
- 5 years health care experience
- Oncology experience required
Preferred:
- Condition-specific experience in either/both inpatient or outpatient setting(s).
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- NYS Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 6 months of employment)
- Valid NYS driver’s license
Preferred:
- PA Registered Nurse license
- Nurse Navigation Certification
