United Health Services is seeking a Virtual Nurse to join our innovative inpatient care team at Wilson Medical Center. This unique role combines advanced technology with expert clinical judgment to enhance patient care across Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units. Working from an on-site virtual nursing hub, you will partner with bedside teams to support admissions, discharges, patient education, virtual rounding, clinical surveillance, and care coordination. As a trusted resource, you'll help improve the patient experience while mentoring and supporting nursing colleagues across the organization. This position is ideal for experienced acute care nurses who excel in collaboration, communication, and clinical decision-making. The Virtual Nurse will initially support cardiac telemetry patients, with future expansion to surgical, neurological, medical, and oncology populations. Candidates with inpatient nursing experience and additional backgrounds in care navigation, population health, or case management are encouraged to apply. Schedule:

• Onsite
• Day-rotational
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• Every third weekend

Education/Experience:

Minimum Required:

• RN-Licensed in NYS

• 3 year minimum in acute care nursing

• Recent acute care clinical experience

• BLS

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• 5 years Acute care

• Charge nurse experience

• Preceptor experience

Licenses/Certifications:

Required:

• NYS RN license

• National Certification in an acute care

Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.

• Rooms are air conditioned and heated.

• Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.

• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

• Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

• PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
